really do not belong on a truck. They have no sidewall or much tread... I was shocked by this. Spotted at work.

I don't like the look of those rims.

Are you sure those are the OEM wheels? The fender gap is insane..
![]() 01/24/2015 at 18:37 |

Those aren't the worst truck tires you've seen. Till now, that is.
![]() 01/24/2015 at 18:38 |

probably are, maybe just running smaller sidewall.
![]() 01/24/2015 at 18:39 |

I'm more irritated that they went with a shorter sidewall.

They look like Nissan rims with HD logos on them.

That truck is not meant to be used as a truck, probably 20's with 40 series tires.

Haha. They do indeed.

Most light duty "trucks" have gone to the dark side with no sidewall, pothole susceptible mall crawling wheels. You need to buy something heavier duty or much lighter if you want rugged.

Truth, it's a truck in body alone

there's a newer trim level of the f150 that has tires like these. Cant remember which one it was but my manager and i saw them at our enterprise branch at a ford dealer. Even he said those dont belong on a truck.

Limited
But that didn't carry over to the next generation.

those cant be the stock size tire.

Yup thats it. So Stupid

Dat gap.
![]() 01/24/2015 at 19:16 |

Depends on the year. I think the newer ones use 22s. The older ones use 20s.

But 22"s yo.

holy flying crap its terrible
![]() 01/24/2015 at 19:21 |

Even with how large those are, there's so much gap they look too small. Prepare for a terrible ride because truck suspension+tiny sidewalls = you're gonna have a bad time (compared to a properly tired truck).
![]() 01/24/2015 at 19:47 |

Sadly it is!
![]() 01/24/2015 at 19:48 |

Sadly yeah they are.
![]() 01/24/2015 at 19:49 |

Nope... Doesn't look like it at least!
![]() 01/24/2015 at 19:53 |

So, that's basically Tacoma X Runner levels of tiny wheels.
![]() 01/24/2015 at 20:13 |
|
yup. I wonder why they decided to put such ugly small tires on the thing.
![]() 01/24/2015 at 20:17 |

Not sure. I imagine price/tire technology. It's probably hard to make a proper sidewall for such a large tire diameter. Even if they could, I bet they'd be super expensive.

Yeah thats lame. My first car was a truck, an 85 Chevy stepside with nice BF Goodrich T/As, nice tall sidewalls. I'm not a street truck fan.
![]() 01/24/2015 at 20:28 |

Mind the gap
![]() 01/24/2015 at 20:31 |

Fitting. This car is to trucks what harley davidsons are to motorcycles lol
![]() 01/24/2015 at 21:02 |

... but I'd drive the crap out of an X-Runner.

I would too.
