really do not belong on a truck. They have no sidewall or much tread... I was shocked by this. Spotted at work.

Are you sure those are the OEM wheels? The fender gap is insane..

Those aren't the worst truck tires you've seen. Till now, that is.

Kinja'd!!!

I'm more irritated that they went with a shorter sidewall.

They look like Nissan rims with HD logos on them.

That truck is not meant to be used as a truck, probably 20's with 40 series tires.

Most light duty "trucks" have gone to the dark side with no sidewall, pothole susceptible mall crawling wheels. You need to buy something heavier duty or much lighter if you want rugged.

Truth, it's a truck in body alone

there's a newer trim level of the f150 that has tires like these. Cant remember which one it was but my manager and i saw them at our enterprise branch at a ford dealer. Even he said those dont belong on a truck.

Depends on the year. I think the newer ones use 22s. The older ones use 20s.

Even with how large those are, there's so much gap they look too small. Prepare for a terrible ride because truck suspension+tiny sidewalls = you're gonna have a bad time (compared to a properly tired truck).

So, that's basically Tacoma X Runner levels of tiny wheels.

yup. I wonder why they decided to put such ugly small tires on the thing.

Kinja'd!!! Funktheduck > Frank Grimes
01/24/2015 at 20:17

Kinja'd!!!0

Not sure. I imagine price/tire technology. It's probably hard to make a proper sidewall for such a large tire diameter. Even if they could, I bet they'd be super expensive.

Yeah thats lame. My first car was a truck, an 85 Chevy stepside with nice BF Goodrich T/As, nice tall sidewalls. I'm not a street truck fan.
